MAGC is happy to announce that we will again be offering Student Summer Scholarships.  We are also offering, perhaps for the last time, the Nicholas Green Award.

Please note that the application process is done ONLY on line to facilitate a streamlining of the process. These applications are DUE Thursday, March 1, 2012.  All the information and links to the applications are on the opening HOME page of (sneek preview below)

Many school districts have their own summer enrichment programs—just look around to see what is in your own back yard.  Or why start your OWN Future Problem Solving Program group, or Math Pentathlon challenge group or get a warm up to Destination Imagination.  There’s LOTS to do.  Check out the MI Association for Gifted Children EVENTS calendar on line—there’s always something new going up!

The Michigan Association for Gifted Children is pleased to announce that in 2012 it will once again offer Student Summer Scholarships. This year, two $300 scholarships will be awarded. New this year, scholarship applicants must fill out the application online, providing an easier, more streamlined process. The online application will be available from Wednesday, February 1, to the deadline date of Thursday, March 1. Scholarship recipients will be notified by Saturday, March 31. Also, nominations are being sought for the Nicholas Green Award.   We hope you appreciate the early “notification” that we established for the recipients. Thank you for your patience.

The Michigan Association for Gifted Children provides the resources and the know-how to help parents and educators improve the lives of Michigan’s advanced and accelerated children. We are THE source of information, education, advocacy, and support for this diverse community of learners, and the adults who love them.
