SAVE Thursday, OCT 18th for nationally known speaker, Dr. Ellen Fiedler, who will be discussing ‘Adult Characteristics of Giftedness: Can you be cured?’ Dr. Fiedler is an author, researcher and nationally known expert on gifted and Professor of the Gifted/Talented Masters degree program at Northeastern Illinois University, Chicago IL.
SAVE Thursday, NOV 29th for local expert Pat LaPat’s, “Identification of the Gifted Child: Description and Interpretation of IQ Tests”. The remaining two are in 2013 but are worth mentioning, too. Pat LaPat is a clinical psychologist with 40 years experience with gifted children — testing, counseling and parent guidance.
March 21: ‘The Truth about the Gifted: Dispelling the Myths’ with guest speaker and Gifted in Michigan FB contributor, Sherry Sparks. Sherry is an educator with 30 years experience in public school administration — gifted consultant, curriculum director, and teacher trainer/mentor; founder of MightyMindz, providing guidance for families of gifted.
April 25: ‘Parenting Traps: Raising your Gifted Child’ with Dr. David Klimek (a clinical psychologist with 40 years experience serving gifted families; founder and director of The Alliance for Gifted Children in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
