Different Learners in the Cyber World: ADHD and the Cyber Junkie
October 4, 2012
Birmingham Covington School (BCS)
1525 Covington Road o Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301
A recovering video game addict, author, ADHD coach, counselor and adult with AD/HD, Kevin Roberts, shares his personal struggles, practical advice, and proven solutions that will help participants spot the warning signs of cyber addictions. This interactive discourse draws on Mr. Roberts’ personal and professional experiences as well as up-to-date research on the brain to help you understand the warning signs, provide tools to confront addiction and acquire strategies to prevent addiction. Roberts places special emphasis on his belief that cyber-addiction-prone ADHDers must be taught how to use the computer and phone responsibly and be empowered to find the same level of stimulation in their daily lives as they do in front of a computer screen or game console. Mr. Roberts’s book will be available for purchase at the meeting.
