Do any of you know of a child who has BIG plans and a vision for a project they’d like to take on in lieu of their first 2 years of college?
A woman we know is involved with the Thiel Fellowship, which is a program that gives 20 people under 20 years old $100,000 over two years to work on a big project, instead of going to a university.
Candidates must have born in 1993 or later to apply and, if awarded the fellowship, acceptance of it means leaving or delaying school during the two years of the fellowship. A friend of hers is the director
and she’s asking for recommendations.
“The ideal candidate has ideas that simply cannot wait. She or he wants to change the world and has already started to do it in some fashion. We want fellows who dream big and have clear plans, who take risks and learn from mistakes, who think long-term and like to tinker. Inspire us.”
