November Monthly Meeting: Animal Magic
Voted Nickelodeon’s 2010 Michigan Entertainer of the Year, Mark Rosenthal rescues rare and endangered animals originating from almost every continent. Now Mark and the animals will visit Mensa with a program suitable for all ages. Featuring a unique blend of exotic critters and magic, these programs are among the most sought after of their kind in the country.
“Animal Magic” is actually a non-profit organization dedicated to exotic wildlife conservation and life science education. For the past thirty years, Mark Rosenthal’s programs have informed, enlightened and delighted audiences across the U.S.
Educating the public and promoting conservation are just two of the many ways Mr. Rosenthal shows his commitment to the animal kingdom. When local animal control officers are confronted with a dangerous exotic animal, he’s sent in to rescue the often illegally obtained “pet.” The fully licensed “Haven” program also accepts most exotic animals, including venomous snakes, from private citizens. Mark is dedicated to helping those who have discovered that owning this type of “pet” is unfair to the animal, often potentially dangerous, and far more difficult than they ever imagined.
We can’t say exactly which animals Mark will have along for the presentation, but it will include a variety chosen from a vast assortment from around the world.
