NAGC Conference Offers Great Opportunity to Hear Nationally Known Speakers Close to Home!

We want to share a great opportunity for you at the National Association for Gifted Children Conference that will take place in Indianapolis this November. The Indiana Association for the Gifted will host Parent Day on Saturday, November 9th. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents to speak with experts in the field of gifted education and hear John Green speak! (He will also be signing books for those fans out there.) Parents will actually sit with experts speaking on a variety of topics during lunch and will have access to many wonderful conference sessions and vendors during the day. Some of the Parent Day lunch topics include: summer programming, perfectionism, sensitivities, how to talk to your teacher, supporting emotional needs, choosing literature with your gifted child, culturally/linguistically diverse gifted students, the best of the web, gifted girls, nurturing math talent, nurturing creativity, and underachievement. Groups of 4 or more are eligible to register for the discounted rate of $50 / person. Go to http://iag-online.org/ to register!

Anyone interested in getting together to register as a group of 4 for the discounted rate?

That’s a good question, Kelly. You might want to ask it on facebook as well. I posted this announcement there too.
