Welcome

Our group, which is based in Southeast Michigan, provides regular meet-ups that both the parent(s) and the child(ren) are welcome to attend (siblings welcome).  We host field trips, enrichment activities and get-togethers regularly.

***Allergies will be considered at all meet-ups and we are requesting that they be nut free at a minimum.***

Parents will share support and can discuss many topics that affect raising a gifted child including selecting the right activities to stimulate the child, curriculum selection, schooling options for educating a gifted child, 2E (twice exceptional gifted children and the challenges encountered), and many other subjects.

Children will have the opportunity to meet with other gifted children including those who are 2E.  The children are of various ages, allowing them to form bonds with any age child they feel comfortable with rather than limiting them to just their age-mates.  This will allow the children to seek out their peers based on similar interests and intellect.  Our hope is that the children will find new friends with whom they can discuss the universe or just play Legos!

Please note that although some members are Mensa members, this is an open group and we believe that parents know their children better than an IQ test does and therefore proof of giftedness is not required to join.
